Way to Win Partnership

We partnered with Way to Win to add nearly 60 501(c)(4) organizations to our nonprofit directory. Unlike 501(c)(3) nonprofits, (c)(4) organizations can participate in unlimited lobbying activities, providing them with more tools to engage in policy change. These organizations often support powerbuilding in communities through advocacy and electoral work.

Our donor’s guide, launched in October, explores the history of the Senate filibuster, ways it has affected the issues you care about most, current efforts around filibuster reform, and what you can do as a donor to influence change.

In 2021, 28 states either passed laws, introduced bills, or took other steps that would restrict the teaching of “critical race theory” or “divisive concepts” that limit how educators can discuss racism, sexism, or gender identity in the classroom. During this conversation, donors learned how to challenge injustice in schools and workplaces and an effective approach to supporting the path forward for racial justice in schools and for a country that works for all of us.
Funding the Frontlines of Abortion Access (Webinar)

In a healthy, safe, and equitable world, all pregnant people have access to high-quality abortion care. In response to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Giving Compass brought together frontline leaders to discuss what donors can do today, from bold public stands to generous funding for local, independent abortion clinics and funds.
